Pelicans (11-21), Heat (10-21)
Whew. New Orleans shook off a sluggish start, a poor shooting night, a double-digit deficit in the second half and a few big surges by Miami en route to a narrow home victory Friday. After falling behind 68-54 in the third quarter, the Pelicans went on a 15-0 run to briefly take the lead, then saw the upper hand exchange multiple times. New Orleans finally grabbed the advantage for good after Langston Galloway drained a three-pointer for a 79-77 score with three-plus minutes to go. Galloway sank another critical trey later in the fourth period, along with big buckets by Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday, to finally put away pesky Miami.
