Magic (1-3), Pelicans (0-4)
New Orleans has gotten out to slow starts in every game this season, a trend it hoped to bring to an end at home Tuesday. Instead, the Pelicans again fell behind by a big margin, with the Magic building an 18-point first-half lead. For a fourth straight time to open the 2015-16 regular season, New Orleans played better basketball after the opening period, but couldn’t overcome a sluggish beginning. The Pelicans dropped the middle game of a three-game homestand, with the Atlanta Hawks coming up next on Friday.
IT WAS OVER WHEN…
Evan Fournier canned a left wing three-pointer with 1:13 left, giving Orlando a 100-90 lead.
