Postgame: Grizzlies 121, Pelicans 114 (OT)

Grizzlies (39-26), Pelicans (24-40)

MEMPHIS – Both teams fielded severely short-handed rosters Friday, but Memphis and New Orleans played an unexpectedly dramatic Southwest Division contest, with the Grizzlies eventually managing to prevail in extra time. Two days after the Pelicans received big nights from a pair of players, this time a trio posted 20-plus points each, with Ryan Anderson joining Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday. Those three combined to pile up 83 points, but it wasn’t quite enough to break through for an initial win over Memphis this season in four attempts. It was tied at 99 at the end of the regulation, before the Grizzlies racked up 22 points in OT, an extremely high number for a five-minute period.
