Clippers (25-13), Pelicans (11-25)
LOS ANGELES – Playing without Anthony Davis, it seemed likely that New Orleans would have little shot of prevailing Sunday, but instead the Pelicans extended the game to overtime and had a late chance to force a second extra period. After 53 minutes of basketball, however, the Clippers finally held off the Pelicans, extending the home team’s winning streak to nine games. Despite not having the services of their two-time All-Star power forward, made it exciting behind several big individual performances, including two players tallying over 25 points. Ultimately New Orleans dropped to 0-4 this season when Davis has been unavailable.
