Pelicans Coach Alvin Gentry on Friday's game:
“Well you know it’s a good win for us tonight. You know we still have areas that we got to try to get better at. I thought our transition defense was much better tonight; that was an area we were really concerned in. We didn’t shoot the basketball very good, and then we got some good looks tonight. We didn’t shoot it well at all, but I thought we did a great job defensively especially in the third quarter, that’s something we’ve been talking about.”
On combinations:
“We still are playing combinations of guys and we’re playing some out of position, so that’s just going to be something that we continue to work on until we get some guys back.
