SAN ANTONIO – It’s at the point where New Orleans (27-46) only had eight players on the floor during Wednesday morning’s shootaround at the AT&T Center, a result of rampant injuries, including Tuesday’s announcement that point guard Jrue Holiday and wing Alonzo Gee are now out for the season. Holiday and Gee both played in Monday’s 99-91 win over New York, but sustained season-ending injuries over a short span of the second half.
Some form of help may be on the way, however. The Pelicans have been granted another injury-hardship exemption, making it possible that they can add another player to their roster, even conceivably prior to tip-off against the Spurs.
