With their postseason hopes a very distant possibility, 15 games remaining on the schedule and numerous projected contributors sidelined by injury, the New Orleans Pelicans will use the home stretch of 2015-16 to evaluate players, in some cases new ones. During the five-game road trip, the Pelicans added two brand-new faces via 10-day contracts, signing guards Orlando Johnson and Tim Frazier. According to Alvin Gentry, we could see more of that in the season’s final four weeks.
“You’ll see different lineups in there. You’ll see different players – don’t be surprised if we bring in a few 10-day guys, just to take a look,” Gentry said on his weekly radio show.
