Anthony Davis noted Thursday that one piece of All-Star Game advice he received from Alvin Gentry boiled down to “shoot the ball every time you touch it.”
Named an All-Star starter for a second time last night – his fourth NBA All-Star selection overall – Davis said after Friday’s shootaround that the pointer doesn’t just apply because next month’s game is in his home NBA city. It would be applicable anywhere.
“I’d do that regardless, even if it wasn’t in New Orleans,” Davis said of getting up a bunch of shots in the midseason showcase game. “That’s what it’s for.
