As we inch closer and closer to the NBA Draft, we know for the most part who will be in the first round. However, teams are built by all levels of the draft, even with undrafted players sometimes making an impact on a roster. For the New Orleans Pelicans, we know they’ll take Zion Williamson first overall, but what about their second round pick? Judging by new Pelicans rumors, they might have some targets.
According to a report via Bryan Kalbroksy of Hoops Hype/USA Today, the Pelicans are beginning draft workouts to try to feel out who they’d like in Round 2, starting with these players:
Draft workout for the New Orleans Pelicans tomorrow, per league source:
Dedric Lawson, Wing (Kansas)
Tyus Battle, Guard (Syracuse)
Cody Martin, Forward (Nevada)
Jared Harper, Guard (Auburn)
Aric Holman, Forward (Mississipi State)
Lindell Wigginton, Guard (Iowa State)#DoItBig— Bryan Kalbrosky (@BryanKalbrosky) May 22, 2019
To this point, this workout is still just rumored, however, it’s worth looking at a few of these players to see if they might actually be good fits for the Pelicans if and when they come to town for a workout.
