The New Orleans Pelicans played a great game, but Warriors had too much firepower.
Since starting the season 4-0, the New Orleans Pelicans have suffered three losses in a row, most recently coming against the defending champion Golden State Warriors. Granted, two of those losses came without MVP front-runner Anthony Davis, and with all three losses coming at the hands of teams in the post-season last year, they get a pass for now.
The game was always close, as the Pelicans would hit timely shot after timely shot to keep the game within striking distance, but too much firepower by the Warriors, led by 37 points from three-point god Stephen Curry, who went 7-11 from downtown.
