New Orleans – New Orleans Pelicans point guard Jrue Holiday, now in his fourth season with the team, has committed to back his stellar on court accomplishments with a financial contribution dedicated to assisting those in immediate need as a result of several devastating tornadoes that impacted New Orleans on February 7, 2017.
Holiday, a native of Chatsworth, Calif., has pledged $1,000 per point and assist when the Pelicans play host to the San Antonio Spurs in front of a national television audience (ESPN; 8:30 pm) on Friday, March 3 at the Smoothie King Center.
Holiday is working in conjunction with The Greater New Orleans Foundation to aide those that were most severely impacted by the tornadoes.
