NEW ORLEANS -- Anthony Davis will miss LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers' lone regular-season game at the New Orleans Pelicans' Smoothie King Center on Monday night with a right thigh bruise.
Davis was kneed early on in the Pelicans' loss Friday to the Brooklyn Nets. He attempted to play through the injury but ultimately sat the final 17 minutes as New Orleans gave up 143 points to the NBA's last-place team.
The 23-year-old, listed as questionable coming into the night, didn't practice the past two days because of lingering soreness.
