Quincy Pondexter is one of several New Orleans Pelicans players who have roots in California and the West Coast, as a Fresno native and a University of Washington product. Although the sixth-year pro was acquired midway through last season by the Pelicans, he’s no stranger to the Crescent City after beginning his NBA career in 2010-11 with the then-Hornets.
