Alonzo Gee experienced a priceless memory away from the hardwood this fall, becoming a first-time father. As a result, Gee missed much of New Orleans training camp, as well as the team’s initial preseason game at Indiana. The 28-year-old and first-year Pelican already has some roots in the southern portion of the United States, having been born in Riviera Beach, Fla., going to high school in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., then starring in college at the SEC’s University of Alabama.
