Anthony Davis recorded a career-high 59 points (24 of 34 field-goal attempts, 2 of 2 3-point attempts, 9 of 10 free throws) and grabbed a season-high 20 rebounds.
Davis becomes the first player to record 59 points and 20 rebounds since Shaquille O’Neal recorded 61 points and 23 rebounds in March 2000.
Davis is the second youngest player in NBA history to record a 50/20 game.
Davis’ 50/20 game is just the third such game since the 1963-64 season.
Davis set a record for most points scored at The Palace of Auburn Hills – previously LeBron James with 48 points in Game 5 of the 2007 Eastern Conference Finals.
