No lineup changes for Pelicans is early-season rarity

For most NBA teams, news of a lineup change would be reason to take note. The way the 2015-16 regular season has gone so far for the injury-riddled New Orleans Pelicans, when they don’t need to shift players around, that’s a much more significant development.

Alvin Gentry said Sunday afternoon during his pregame discussion with reporters that New Orleans (2-11) should be able to trot out the same lineup as in Friday’s win over San Antonio, featuring Jrue Holiday, Eric Gordon, Alonzo Gee, Anthony Davis and Omer Asik. Holiday’s game-to-game status is complicated by the fact that he can’t play both games of back-to-backs – the Pelicans have had several lately – but he’s available today.
