The New Orleans Pelicans have used both of their two-way contracts this offseason.
The first one was extended to guard Jose Alvarado, which I thought was a smart signing, as he brings defensive intensity and energy that should help the Pelicans be more competitive, even if it is just in practice and training camp.
The second two-way contract went to Daulton Hommes, and if you are like me, you looked at that name and said, “who?”
Daulton Hommes is a 6-foot-8 forward who went undrafted in 2019 and ended up playing for the Spurs’ G-League team before eventually ending up in the Italian League playing for Vanoli Cremona.
