One and nine. Even the most ardent pessimists could not have predicted the New Orleans Pelicans would start the 2015-16 season with just one win in nine games. Even with all the injuries that have cost the Pelicans chances to win and develop there is a feeling around the Pelicans that they should be better than they currently are. Great first halves turning into second half collapses are not helping matters. Neither are struggles from important players like Ryan Anderson and Jrue Holiday. Ditto for a lack of playing time for Omer Asik and Alexis Ajinca despite the big investment the Pelicans made in the two bigs this summer.
