The roster cuts are sweeping across the league in a misunderstood and sad time in the NBA. Players fighting for roster spots, getting calls from general managers, and having awkward meetings where they find out their dreams have temporarily come to an end.
The New Orleans Pelicans are the next team to reluctantly participate in this obligatory portion of the NBA season. Only 12 players are allowed to be active in a night and 14 are guaranteed so every team must expel their recently bloated rosters.
According to Scott Kushner of the New Orleans Advocate, the Pelicans decided to waive both Perry Jones lll and Cliff Alexander.
