New Orleans Pelicans take Alvin Gentry’s halftime message to heart, beat Dallas Mavericks in spirited comeback, 114-112

After losing two days prior in Dallas, the New Orleans Pelicans bounced back in a big, fun way in front of an energetic crowd to beat the Mavericks 114-112 and snap a five-game losing streak.

Anthony Davis notched a new season high with 48 points and grabbed 17 boards to help his team avoid more late-game misery in the clutch. It was the ninth time Davis has logged at least 45 points and 15 rebounds in his career. Jrue Holiday went for 18 points, eight assists and seven boards while Julius Randle added 22 points and 12 rebounds.
