New Orleans plans to sign Austin guard Orlando Johnson to a 10-day contract with injury exception, league sources tell The Vertical.

Orlando Johnson is a 6’5″ guard out of University of California who has been in and out of the league since 2012. He was recently signed to another 10-day contract by the Phoenix Suns, but was not resigned after that contract had run its length.
Orlando was likely signed to aid the Pelicans’ desperately shallow wing depth. As of now, the Pelicans are missing Tyreke Evans, Eric Gordon, and Quincy Pondexter, who are their three best wing players.
