New Orleans Pelicans show effects of mentally and physically draining week, lose 114-91 to Houston Rockets

The New Orleans Pelicans (43-31) were blown out by a score of 114-91 to the Houston Rockets (59-14), but anyone with an ounce of common sense figured this result was coming from a mile away.

Forget that Rajon Rondo and Nikola Mirotic missed the game, the Pelicans entered the contest against the team with the best overall record in the league without their typical pizzazz. New Orleans was playing for the sixth time in eight days and we must also include the fact that the team was in attendance for Tom Benson’s funeral yesterday.
