Jrue Holiday asserted himself as the New Orleans Pelicans second best player this past season, in the eyes of the fanbase and the coaching staff. Both have done nothing but rave about the ability of Holiday, whose defense and willingness to attack has made him a favorite of those who notice.
Holiday’s numbers last season compare favorably to other upper echelon of point guards, such as Kemba Walker, Isaiah Thomas and guys of that tier. However, due to the Pelicans lackluster record and his constant injury problems, it has a largely gone unnoticed among casual NBA fans.
