When news came out earlier this week that the New Orleans Pelicans could be without Quincy Pondexter until November, many Pelicans fans shrugged it off, thinking that the injury wouldn’t matte. Thanks to the newfound depth on the wings with Alonzo Gee and Dante Cunningham still on board, the thought was the Pelicans would be able to survive without Pondexter for long enough.
While the injury does probably hurt the Pelicans more in the short run than many people want to believe, after all the Pelicans will be without their best small forward for at least a few games in a brutal Western Conference, it could actually be a blessing in disguise for one player.
