The New Orleans Pelicans owner Tom Benson has passed away at the age of 90. The New Orleans Pelicans and Saints have announced the news and posted Mr. Benson’s obituary on their team’s websites. You can find the Pelicans link here.
Personally, I did not know Mr. Benson. My lack-of-ties to the NOLA area probably hinder’s my writing on this subject. However, one thing I do when someone in sports/news/entertainment passes, is I do a search on Twitter. I watch as people post their own thoughts, prayers, and opinions of the person who has passed.
The first thing I noticed when searching for Tom Benson was the outpouring of thanks from people.
