New Orleans Pelicans agree to deals with Alonzo Gee, Cheick Diallo

Around midday today, The Vertical reported that the New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to a deal to bring back veteran wing Alonzo Gee, who also spent last year with the team.

Free agent Alonzo Gee is finalizing one-year deal with New Orleans, league sources tell The Vertical. Sides working to complete in next day.

Due to the money the Pelicans have already agreed to give Langston Galloway, Solomon Hill, E’Twaun Moore and Terrence Jones this year, this deal is likely a minimum deal to fill out the roster. Per Larry Coon’s NBA Collective Bargaining Agreement FAQ (see section 16 for minimum salary data), Gee will earn a $1,315,448 minimum salary for the 2016-17 season as a seven-year NBA vet.
