With the injuries to starting center Omer Asik and his primary backup Alexis Ajinca that happened this week the New Orleans Pelicans were searching for another player who could play center to bring into camp for at least the duration of the preseason. It seemed on Friday that the Pelicans had found just that, when there was a report that they team had agreed to a deal with Greg Smith, but that deal ultimately fell through after Smith failed a physical. New Orleans isn’t done searching though as they have reportedly found another player to fill the spot according to Marc Spears of Yahoo!
