NBA Draft: Pelicans draft understudy for Jrue, take Alexander-Walker 17th

For now, the New Orleans Pelicans are done making selections in Round One of the 2019 NBA Draft. After taking Zion Williamson first overall, and then Jaxson Hayes from Texas at #8, the newest member of the Pels is Nickeil Alexander-Walker, the Canadian shooting guard who played for Virginia Tech in college.

Alexander-Walker is a scrapper on defense, a good enough shooter, and will be an eager learner behind Jrue Holiday on the roster.
