The 2018 NBA Africa Game could be the launching pad for New Orleans Pelicans power forward Cheick Diallo, who will lace up for Team Africa against Team World in Pretoria on August 4.
Mali's Diallo will be given a chance to show African fans that there is more to his game than his limited minutes suggest, averaging 4.9 points per game per 11 minutes over the past season.
The 21-year-old is fresh off his sophomore season in the NBA, which saw him help the Pelicans reach the Playoffs before succumbing to eventual champions the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference semifinals.
