With Jrue Holiday not cleared yet to play in both games of back-to-backs, Alvin Gentry noted in his pregame meeting with media Friday that the point guard will start tonight for New Orleans vs. Atlanta, then sit out Saturday at Dallas. Gentry added that in situations where New Orleans plays a back-to-back with one game at home and the other on the road, Holiday will play in the Smoothie King Center but be held out of the away contest.
“Most of the home games, if they’re back-to-back, he’ll play in them,” Gentry said. “Now, I don’t want to be held to that 100 percent, but most of the time, if we have a home game and then a road game, he’ll play in the home game.
