The New Orleans Pelicans took care of business on Thursday night, beating a short-handed Charlotte Hornets squad 115-96. This game, however, will be permanently etched in one player’s mind for the rest of his life.
In his 404th NBA appearance, Brandon Ingram notched the first triple-double of his career, finishing with 30 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.
Ingram put the Smoothie King Center crowd on notice early, posting 17 points, five rebounds and six assists in the first quarter.
“I just wanted to set the tone,” Ingram said. “This game was very important for us to be in the postseason.
