New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis will miss his third game of the season Thursday night against the Brooklyn Nets because of a left hip injury.
Davis suffered a left hip pointer in the third quarter of Monday's 110-96 victory over the New York Knicks after a hard foul from Kyle O'Quinn sent him into the stands and led him to bang his knee on a chair. Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry told reporters after the game that X-rays on Davis were negative.
O'Quinn was ejected and received a $25,000 fine because of the foul.
