On July 6th, the New Orleans Pelicans added yet another versatile swingman to the rotation, grabbing sharp-shooter and defender Langston Galloway.
Oddly enough, Galloway never should have been a Pelican at all.
The New York Knicks had tendered Galloway his $2.7 million dollar qualifying offer, effectively making him a free agent. But after the signings and trades of Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah, Courtney Lee, Lance Thomas and Brandon Jennings, the Knicks revoked their offer, freeing up Galloway to pursue unrestricted free agency.
