Tonight, the New Orleans Pelicans are in San Antonio looking to send the Spurs further into the outside of the playoff picture. The San Antonio Spurs hold the ninth place spot in the Western Conference.
The Spurs, along with the Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Lakers are the only teams not in the playoffs that haven’t officially been eliminated from contention.
The Spurs are 2-3 in their last five games. They defeated the Orlando Magic to snap a three-game skid. There was some hope that Kawhi Leonard would be able to play tonight against the Pelicans, however, ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne tweeted on Tuesday that Leonard will not play tonight against the Spurs.
