NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Pelicans announced that the 2019-20 home opener against the Dallas Mavericks in the Smoothie King Center will feature a variety of notable musicians and giveaways.
Game Day Giveaway: Every fan in attendance will receive a blue “Won’t Bow Down” Pelicans t-shirt courtesy of Smoothie King.
National Anthem: Known as the “Soul Queen of New Orleans,” Irma Thomas is a Grammy-winning artist whose career has spanned over 50 years. Originally singing as a teenager in her Baptist church choir, she released her first single in 1960 with a string of successful releases to follow.
