Anthony Davis began the game with the first bucket and did not let up until the final buzzer. 52 points later he held the scoring record in an All-Star Game and the MVP trophy aloft. Wilt Chamberlain previously held the record of 42 points which has stood since 1962.
While Davis got it started with a long jumper the majority of his work was done via alley-oop where any and all teammates were clearly looking to feed the All-Star Game's host. A hot streak behind the arc in the third quarter put Russell Westbrook in striking distance but the fourth turned into an Anthony Davis exhibition.
