CHICAGO – Alvin Gentry confirmed Saturday during his pregame media session that Anthony Davis will play against Chicago, in a 4 p.m. tip-off between interconference foes. Davis has a hip pointer he sustained Monday at New York.
“Obviously the hip pointer is (the source of) the pain, but you can’t do any more damage to it,” Gentry said. “It’s just an area that is painful when you get hit there. So we’ll pad it up, and he’ll go out and see how he can go.”
