Anthony Davis of New Orleans Pelicans leaves game after being elbowed in the face

NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans Pelicans star forward Anthony Davis left his team's game Monday against the Houston Rockets after being hit in the left side of his face while pursuing a rebound. He is doubtful to return due to a head injury.

After a missed shot with about a minute left in the first half, Pelicans guard Tyreke Evans and Davis went for a rebound, and Evans' right elbow hit Davis' left eye. Davis was flat on his back for a few moments and slowly sat up before being escorted to the locker room by the Pelicans' medical staff.
