The New Orleans Pelicans will be holding their breath once again after Anthony Davis suffered an injury to his leg.
Per the Pelicans' public relations staff on Twitter, Davis will sit out the remainder of Friday's game against the Houston Rockets due to a lower-leg contusion.
He was injured during the first half of the Pelicans' game against the Rockets and briefly returned in the third quarter before being taken out for good.
Davis started the season injured almost as soon as the Pelicans began playing in preseason games. He played just six minutes against the Houston Rockets on October 12 before going down with a sprained ankle that was expected to keep him out 10 to 15 days.
