Considering all of the injuries that the New Orleans Pelicans are currently dealing with, it probably wouldn’t be a surprise to anyone to see Anthony Davis playing a crazy amount of minutes to start the season. After all, with Omer Aisk and Alexis Ajinca out of action, the Pelicans must find a way to fill 48 minutes of action at the center spot with some combination of Kendrick Perkins, Jeff Adrien, Ryan Anderson and Davis. According to Davis, though, Alvin Gentry probably won’t be too tempted to leave his star in the game for that many minutes this season.
