The New Orleans Pelicans’ loss to the Clippers tonight followed a similar pattern to their loss to the Jazz last night. In both games, they fell behind early, entering the second quarter with a double digit deficit. Both nights, they fought back to make it close in the second half before eventually losing.
The big difference tonight is that last night, they only lost by a few points whereas tonight, after cutting the lead to six in the third quarter, they ended up losing by 25 even though they made it close for a brief spell.
The Pelicans clearly need to get off to better starts, especially against teams as good as the Jazz and the Clippers.
