Boy, oh boy. The trade deadline back in February was an absolute mess for the New Orleans Pelicans. But at least the same can be said for the Los Angeles Lakers too, the team who offered the Pels everything short of the employee breakroom coffee maker in an effort to steal away Anthony Davis.
Now, with the exit of Dell Demps and the addition of David Griffin to the front office, it does feel like there is a new breath of fresh air in the organization. Direction is good, and great management is even better. The dumpster fire would have grown to incredible heights if the team didn’t part ways with Demps when they did.
