With the NBA trade deadline still approximately 48 hours away, the Los Angeles Lakers have decided to call off the hounds.
In an article published by Broderick Turner of the LA Times, the Lakers felt they had made their best trade offer for Anthony Davis and believed the New Orleans Pelicans demands were too great in continuing to pursue getting a deal done before the February 7 deadline at 3 p.m. Eastern.
The Lakers have “pulled out” of any more conversations in trying to acquire New Orleans All-Star Anthony Davis because of the Pelican’s “outrageous” trade requests, according to a person with knowledge of the situation not authorized to speak publicly.
