I honestly had some high expectations for Jeff Withey this season based mostly on his defense with some hope that there would be a bit of pick-and-roll success with Withey in the game. As it turned out neither of those things really turned out to be right. Withey spent most of the season glued to the bench, only emerging during stretches where injuries forced Monty William’s hand. When he was in the game Withey actually saw his true shooting percentage (a number that takes into account three-point and free throw percentage) drop this season to .570 mostly because he was forced into the 3-16 foot range more often.
