Serge Ibaka, Kris Dunn and Dennis Smith Jr. are a few possible trade candidates for the Pelicans. Ibaka is set to make $23,271,605 million this season but will become an unrestricted free agent in 2020. Adding Ibaka to the Pelicans rotation would provide defensive presence in the post and someone who can knock down a three-point shot. When fully healthy, you could argue that the Pelicans have one of the most talented rosters in the NBA. What trade could help them fill in gaps and win?
IN THE VIDEO ABOVE AND BELOW, The New Orleans Pelicans are led by a young core of Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart. What would it look like to plug in Bogdan Bogdanović. It’s rumored that Bogdanović is not happy with his role on the Sacramento Kings, especially when you look towards the future and getting paid. This season, Bogdan will make $8,529,386 million and is set to become a restricted free agent in 2020 with the Kings holding qualifying offer rights. However, Carter thinks the Pelicans could land the Kings’ shooting guard by shipping off E’Twuan Moore (and potentially Frank Jackson).
Possible trade targets for the Pelicans include:
Serge Ibaka
Bogdan Bogdanović
Kris Dunn
Dennis Smith Jr.
Carmelo Anthony
