NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The NM State men's and women's cross-country teams took their final trip of the season to Texas for the 2022 Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Cross Country Championships. The women's team took third at the meet, paced by Emily Stutesman's tenth-place finish, while the men finished 11th led by Anekin Hetman's seventeenth-place finish.
Stutesman earned herself First Team All-WAC, crossing the line with a time of 20:42.4 and setting a new personal best in the process, while Thobile Amon (20:49.3), Thulisile Amon (20:59.2), and Anekin Hetman (24:04.8) earned Second Team All-WAC Honors.
