Williams Named to Buster Posey Award Watch List

WICHITA, Kan. – The Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission announced a new name for the 20th Anniversary of the national collegiate catcher of the year award and released the official watch list on Tuesday. Previously known as the Johnny Bench Award, the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award will continue to honor the nation's top division one collegiate catcher as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors. Following a great 2018 season and strong start behind the plate in 2019, New Mexico State's Braden Williams was named to the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Watch List.
