LAS CRUCES, N.M. - New Mexico State football offensive lineman Max Wilhite has been named to the 2020 Rimington Trophy Watch List.
The Rimington Trophy, named after two-time Nebraska consensus All-American Dave Rimington, is presented to the most outstanding center in FBS football. Wilhite is one of 90 centers on the watch list, which was released on Wednesday, Oct. 14, by the Rimington Trophy Committee.
As a redshirt freshman, Wilhite started all 12 games at center for the Aggies in 2019. The native of Goodyear, Ariz., blocked for a unit that surpassed 300 yards of total offense nine times and rushed for 200+ yards on three occasions during the campaign.
