LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Brandon Van Horn, a former San Francisco Giants draftee and minor leaguer, has joined the New Mexico State baseball program as a volunteer assistant coach.
Van Horn, who was selected by San Francisco in the 19th round of the 2016 MLB June Amateur Draft, spent four years in the Giants organization, reaching Triple-A - the highest level of play in Minor League Baseball - during the 2019 season.
The slick-handed infielder slugged three home runs and drove in 34 runs across three levels (A+, AA and AAA) in 2019.
