LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State baseball team saw a trio of players tabbed American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-Americans.
After being named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region team just last week, Nick Gonzales (first-team), Joey Ortiz (second-team) and Tristen Carranza (third-team) were named to the All-America team by the coaches association.
Gonzales, who has now been named an All-American for the sixth time this season, and matches Bryan Marquez (2009) for the most nods in a single-season by any Aggie ballplayer. His other All-America honors were from Baseball America, Collegiate Baseball, D1Baseball, NCBWA and Perfect Game.
